Sapardi Djoko Damono (born 20 March, 1940 in Surakarta,
Central Java) is a famous Indonesian poet known for lyrical poems.
His best known works include Hujan Bulan Juni and Berjalan ke Barat
di Waktu Pagi Hari (Walking to the West in the Morning). He is a
professor at the University of Indonesia, teaching Literature in
the Faculty of Letters, University of Indonesia. |
