lu hongzao, male, han ethnicity, cpc member, was born in october 1970 and started his career in july 1992. he is a professoriate senior engineer and an expert entitled to the state council special allowance, and also holds a master’s degree in the emba program from xiamen university. he has won multiple national, provincial and ministerial honors, including the national prize for progress in science and technology, national advanced engineering survey and design award, and cnea science & technology progress award, among others. with a nearly 30-year career, lu hongzao has piled his experience in nuclear project general contracting, project management, operation and maintenance technical support services. he was in charge of or participated in operation planning, project management and project construction of qinshan phase iii heavy water nuclear reactor, the chashma nuclear power plant in pakistan, fuqing nuclear power plant in fujian province, and sanmen nuclear power plant. since october, 2019, he has served as the president and secretary of the party committee of state nuclear power technology company, and executive director and secretary of the party committee of shanghai nuclear engineering research and design institute co., ltd.
