recently, pmi (project management institute) announced the 2021 honorees for future 50, and li jie, the manager of pmo of snerdi, was selected successfully.
future 50 project leaders represent rising generations of changemakers dedicated to forging a better tomorrow. the individuals celebrated are leveraging new technologies, fighting disease and taking on climate change. as pmi says, they’re developing more sustainable sources of food and energy; building residential and commercial spaces with lasting benefits; accelerating efficiency; and unleashing new creativity across organizations and communities.
the first “future 50" was launched in 2020. to identify this year’s future 50 honorees, pmi reached out to hundreds of experts and stakeholders across the globe for nominations. after a committee vetted the nominees, finalists were individually researched and interviewed. the selected honorees were chosen to represent the full spectrum of regions, industries and achievements.
in february this year, li jie passed the preliminary assessment. after nearly half a year of on-line interviews to deeply investigate the personal performance in the field of project management, and comprehensively evaluate the effects of the project management work in transforming the society and inspiring young managers, li jie stood out as a youth representative of project management in the field of energy by his work achievements in the construction and project management practice in snerdi , and was selected as one of the " future 50" in 2021, becoming the cover of the pm network journal.
this year’s future 50 honorees come from 8 different countries and regions around the world, spanning industries such as information technology, energy and utilities, nonprofit, social responsibility, architecture, health care, education, government, aerospace and national defense, telecommunications. among them, three come from china.
